Terms of use

1. Purpose and acceptance

NimBlock is an online service published by Eric Mollenthiel, sole trader (full details in the legal notice). It lets you create hosted Minecraft Java servers, build plugins without writing code, and install them on those servers or export them elsewhere.

Creating an account requires accepting these terms, by ticking the box provided at sign-up. The version in force is 2026-08-03; the version you accepted is recorded along with the date of your acceptance.

2. Minimum age

You must be at least 15 to open a NimBlock account. That is the age from which, in France, a person can consent alone to the processing of their personal data for an online service.

If you are between 15 and 18, you also need the consent of your parents or of whoever holds parental authority, because a minor cannot enter into a contract alone. They can write to team@nimblock.com to ask a question, request the account be closed, or request the data be erased.

We do not check your age at sign-up, and we will never ask you for identity documents for that purpose: it would collect far more data than the question is worth. An account we learn belongs to a child under 15 is closed and its data erased.

3. Your account

• An account is created with a valid email address, which you confirm by following the link you receive. Until it is confirmed, the account does not open.
• You use your own address, not someone else's.
• Your password is personal. Whatever is done from your account is deemed done by you; if you think someone else has used it, change it and tell us.
• You can close your account whenever you want, by writing to team@nimblock.com. Its servers and their worlds are then deleted.

4. Your servers: you are the operator

NimBlock provides the machine and the tools. The server itself is yours, and that distinction has real consequences.

• You accept the Minecraft end user licence agreement (EULA) server by server, before it starts. That acceptance is timestamped and kept: it is what makes you the operator of the server.
• You answer for what happens there: the players you invite, what they build, what they write, the moderation you do or do not exercise.
• If your players are minors, it is up to you to behave accordingly, in particular in your server's chat.
• Your server's logs contain your players' usernames and IP addresses. What you do with them is your business and your responsibility: see the privacy policy, section "The players on your servers".

5. What is not allowed

A NimBlock server is for playing. It must not be used to:

• commit an offence, or host unlawful content: child sexual abuse material, glorification of terrorism, incitement to hatred, counterfeiting, harassment;
• mine cryptocurrency, relay spam, act as a network relay, scan or attack other machines;
• work around the limits of the service: memory or disk quotas, outbound connection filtering, creating multiple accounts to obtain more resources;
• attempt to reach another account's servers, data or containers;
• publish in the studio a plugin designed to harm the players who would install it.

Servers run on a machine shared with other accounts, with filtered outbound connections: a server only reaches what a game server needs. Trying to get out of that is grounds for immediate closure.

6. What NimBlock does, and what it does not promise

The service is under development. It is provided as is, with no guarantee of availability, performance or uninterrupted operation. Features may change or disappear.

• There is no automatic backup of your worlds. A world you care about, download it from your server's page: you get a .zip file, kept 48 hours on our servers then erased. A disk failure, a mistake, or deleting a server are final.
• A server that exceeds its disk quota is stopped, so that it does not take down other accounts' servers, and refuses to restart while it overflows.
• The publisher cannot be held liable for data loss, unavailability of the service, or what third parties do on your servers. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under French law, in particular in cases of gross negligence or personal injury.

7. Suspension and closure

An account that breaches section 5 may be suspended or closed, immediately if the facts are serious or ongoing. We then write to the account's address to tell you why, unless the law forbids it. You can reply and contest: write to team@nimblock.com.

An account with no sign-in for twelve months may be closed and its servers deleted, after a warning sent to its address.

8. Price

The service is free today, within the quotas shown in your dashboard. The day a paid offering exists, it will be governed by separate terms of sale, which you will have to accept separately: nothing you use today will become chargeable without your explicit acceptance.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may change, in particular as the service evolves. A substantive change is announced by email to your account's address, at least fifteen days before it takes effect, and the new version must be accepted to keep using the service. If you refuse it, you can close your account and retrieve your data before it applies.

10. Governing law, complaints and disputes

These terms are governed by French law.

If something goes wrong, write to team@nimblock.com first: most disagreements are settled there. If the answer does not suit you and you are a consumer, you can use a consumer mediator free of charge: CM2C, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris (cm2c.net). This step is optional and does not prevent you from going to court.
